LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lawrence's second-half goal was the only scoring of the day as the Vikings beat the Illinois College women's soccer team, 1-0, in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon at Mohr Field.
IC finishes the campaign with a 10-8-2 record while Lawrence moves to 10-4-6.

The opening half was scoreless as IC pushed the pace, outshooting Lawrence, 7-0, over the first 45 minutes.
The contest remained scoreless in the early stages of the second half before Renate Hramiec found the net on the low right side for the Vikings at the 71:54 mark.
IC outshot Lawrence 9-6 in the match and was led by
McKenzie Murray's two.Â
Stella Gonzalez went the full 90 minutes in goal and recorded three saves.

This was the first appearance in the Midwest Conference Tournament for the Lady Blues… IC finished the season with a 6-2-0 record in Midwest Conference play, the best league record in program history… IC's six league wins were also a school record… the Lady Blues' 10 wins are the second-most in program history (tied with last season's squad) and one shy of the program record of 11, set in 2014.
