JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College Esports Smash Bros team delivered one of their most commanding performances of the season, sweeping Carthage College 2–0 in NECC play on Monday night.
The Blueboys opened the match with back-to-back 5–0 victories, marking their second perfect series of the year and matching their earlier sweep over Roosevelt. The team combined for an impressive +10 score differential in both games, showcasing precise play and strong coordination throughout the series.
Adam Byrd led the way with 11 KOs and a 1.83 K/F ratio, moving into third all-time in career K/F ratio in Illinois College program history. Julian Luaders and Jake Petrovich also posted standout performances, each finishing with a 4.00 K/F ratio.
The Blueboys continue to build momentum as they head into the final stretch of the NECC regular season, demonstrating their growth and consistency across every match.
