Clay Target Takes Ninth at National Championships

BUNKER HILL, Ill. – The Illinois College clay target team finished in the top 10 at the 2025 Fall National Championships over the weekend.

IC placed ninth out of 20 teams with a combined score of 925. There were 20 teams and 235 competitors from across the United States.
                    
Individually, IC earned multiple medals throughout multiple categories. 

In the high gun male gold category, Adam Stuckemeyer finished 27th with a combined score of 188. In the gold female category, Morgan Tracey finished in 10th place with a 186, Hannah Hopper was 13th at 184, Ann Feldhake recorded a 15th-place finish with 184, and Aurora Baker was in 24th with a 179.
            
Andrew Magnus earned sixth place in the high gun silver male category by hitting 183 targets. In the high gun silver female category, Korina Hecht led IC with a 4th-place finish with 178. Reece Winebrinner took 13th with 170, and Delaney Teno was in 19th with 162.
        
To conclude the weekend, there were two Annie Oakley elimination competitions, one for the student-athletes and one for the coaches. In the student-athlete category, Stuckemeyer finished second out of over 200 competitors. In the coach's competition, IC's coach Jim Davidsmeyer finished fourth out of 21 competitors.
