JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Esports Super Smash Bros. team earned a dominant 2–0 victory over Northwestern College in the NECC playoffs on Tuesday night.
The Blueboys came out strong in Game 1, sweeping 4–0, and carried that momentum into Game 2 with a 2–0 win to secure the match.
Jake Petrovich led the way with a standout performance, taking 13 stocks while losing just six to post a 2.2 K/F ratio. Petrovich clinched both game wins while holding one stock remaining each time.
