Illinois College Rocket League and Smash Bros Face Carroll in NECC Play

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College Esports teams were back in action on October 22, facing Carroll University in NECC conference play. The Rocket League team battled through four tightly contested games but ultimately fell 0–4, while the Smash Bros squad earned a dominant 2–0 sweep to secure a key conference victory.

In Rocket League, Illinois College showed resilience across all four games, keeping each contest within striking distance. Despite strong offensive and defensive play, the team was unable to capitalize on late-game chances, dropping games by scores of 1–3, 1–2, 3–4, and 1–2. The loss moves the team to 3–2 in conference play with two weeks remaining in the regular season—making every upcoming match crucial for playoff positioning.
