GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time in three weeks,
Timo Kato has been named the Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
Kato, a Niles, Ill. native, had four returns for 107 yards and a score in IC's win over Knox on Saturday. The sophomore return specialist returned three punts for 81 yards, including a 64-yard touchdown, which was IC's first score of the day. Kato also had a 26-yard kickoff return in the contest.
Kato won the award two weeks ago after he had four total returns for 106 yards and a touchdown in IC's win over Lawrence. He also earned the award for his performance in week three of his freshman season.
The Blueboys are in action again on Saturday when they travel to Ripon for a Midwest Conference contest at Noon.
