CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Illinois College women's swimming team dropped its season opener, 18-96, to Coe on Saturday at the Coe Natatorium.
Abby Stevens was the highlight of the day for IC. Stevens recorded the fourth-fastest 1,000-yard freestyle time (11:55.30) in program history and then came back to win the 500-yard freestyle in 5:50.32
The Lady Blues also got victories from
Jadyn Grismer in the 50-yard freestyle (25.79) and 100-yard backstroke (1:02.49), and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Jena Sellers, Stevens,
Laci O'Malley, and Grismer, who touched the wall first in 1:47.54.
