JACKSONVILLE, ILL- The Illinois College Overwatch team fell to the conference leader Cornell College 4-0 in MVEC play on Wednesday night. This loss moves IC to 1-2 in MVEC Overwatch play for the spring season.
Game 1 (Oasis- Control): Lost 2-0
Game 2 (Route 66- Escort): Lost 1-0
Game 3 (Colosseo- Push): Lost 3-0
Game 4 (Throne of Anubis- Clash): Lost 5-1
Lucas Schultz led the charge for IC finishing with 14 eliminations and 12 assists while dealing nearly 12,000 damage.
Dwight Duijneveld finished with 14 assist and dealt a team high 14,000 damage. It was a tough test for IC going against one of the better teams in the conference, but some strong performances from Schultz and Duijneveld shines a positive light on the loss.
