MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College men's swimming team improved to a perfect 8-0 on the dual season with a 115-78 triumph over Monmouth on Saturday.
The Blueboys swept a pair of relays as
John Masiliunas,
Cooper Meyer,
Eli Eberle, and
Scottie Nicotra took the 400-yard medley relay in 3:45.65. The foursome of Nicotra,
Scott Sosnowski, Eberle, and
Nathen Trachta won the 400-yard freestyle in 3:25.65.
Individually,
Cade Emerick was a double winner, taking the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:00.68 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:18.25.
Nicotra won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.83. Trachta took the 400-yard IM in 4:35.06 while n was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.93.
Masiliunas and Meyer rounded out the IC victors as Masiliunas won the 100-yard backstroke (57.71) and Meyer the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.25).
