COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Illinois College women's soccer squad posted a 2-0 victory over Stephens in a non-conference match on Wednesday.
The win moved the Lady Blues to 7-2-1 on the season while the Stars dropped to 1-5-2.

IC got on the board first at the 30:05 mark when Stephens recorded an own goal. That advantage held up until the 82:56 mark when
Holly Morehart found the back of the net to give the Lady Blues an insurance goal.
Stella Gonzalez and
Sophia Kriegesmann split the match in goal for IC and posted a combined shutout. Gonzalez handed the first half, recording two saves while Kriegesmann brought home the shutout in the second period.
Olivia Ralston led the Lady Blues' offense, recording four shots.
Haley Sommer added three for IC. The Lady Blues out-shot the Stars, 16-4 on the night.

The Lady Blues are off to the best start in school history at 7-2-1… IC has scored first in nine of the team's 10 matches on the season.
