MONMOUTH, Ill- The Illinois College Women's golf team won the Fighting Scot Fall Invite this weekend, held at Gibson Woods Golf Course. The Lady Blues secured the two-day tournament title with a seven-stroke victory over Marian University.
Round 1: 330 +46
The Lady Blues were led by
Katie Mae Milhiser in round one after shooting 80 (+9) in the opening round.
Hannah Harpster and
Kate Burr added two rounds of 83 (+12).
Emily Guest closed out the fourth score with a 84 (+13) to give IC a two stroke lead after day one.
Round 2: 317 +33
Emily Guest got the scoring started for the Lady Blues with a round of 76 (+5) after tallying four birdies on the scorecard.
Kate Burr finished with another solid round of 77 (+6) with four birdies as well.
Katie Mae Milhiser and
Shelby Seiler rounded out the scoring for IC.
Individual Results:
The Lady Blues finished with three players tied for third at +18 for the two rounds including
Kate Burr,
Katie Mae Milhiser, and
Emily Guest.
Hannah Harpster also finished in the top 10 after finishing +26 for the two rounds.
Shelby Seiler finished in 12
th with a two-day score of +28.
Blue Notes
Illinois College's 317 in round two was the 4
th lowest team score in school history.

The Lady Blues will travel to Wisconsin next weekend (Sep. 20-21) for the Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine University for a two-day 36-hole tournament.
