JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's soccer team posted its third consecutive victory, beating Fontbonne, 3-0, in the home opener on Tuesday at England Stadium.
The victory pushed the Blueboys to 4-1 on the season while the Griffins dropped to 0-4.

The contest was tight throughout the first half as neither team could get much offense going but
Nate Kapitz broke the deadlock just before half when he scored at the 44:36 mark.
The Blueboys clung to the one-goal lead for most of the second half before
Jives Efemini scored at the 83:12 mark on a feed from
Reed Rogers.
Tyler Lunning closed out the scoring with a header goal at 89:24.
Owen Macias was solid in net, saving all three shots he faced while the IC defense stopped the Griffin attack throughout the night. The Blueboys outshot Fontbonne, 20-3.
Efemini led the IC offense with five shots while
Oscar Liogon Arenas added three and
Toby Ybarra had two.
