LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Illinois College softball team's season came to a close after a 10-1 loss to Lake Forest in the Midwest Conference Tournament on Saturday at Mohr Field.
IC finishes the season with a 20-22 overall record.
The Foresters roared out of the gate at the start, scoring five runs in the top of the first inning. They added a solo run in the third and four more in the fourth to close out the scoring.
IC was limited to just one hit in the game, a single by senior
Emma Nicholson.
Senior
Calynn Gicante took the loss for IC, allowing five runs in her 1/3 inning of work. Senior
Julia Drake finished up the final 4 2/3 innings to conclude her spectacular career with the Lady Blues. She finishes as the school's all-time leader in strikeouts with 432 K's.
