JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's swimming team fell to Beloit, 125-92 in a tightly contested dual meet on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium.
IC honored its seniors prior to the start of the meet and honoree
Lauren Sinclair was a key cog in the Lady Blues effort, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 27.64 and taking second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:02.37. She was also part of the 200-yard medley relay team that took second in 2:04.93. Along with Sinclair, that relay team consisted of
Abby Stevens,
Jena Sellers, and fellow senior
Abbey Glaser. Glaser also took third in the 500-yard freestyle in 1:16.26.
Sellers took home first place in the 50-yard breaststroke, clocking a 34.59 while
Emma Dunsworth won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.81.
