Blueboys Beat Monmouth, Move to 4-0

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's swimming team won seven of the 11 events en route to a dual victory over Monmouth on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium.

The Blueboys outpointed the Fighting Scots, 106-87, to improve their dual record to a perfect 4-0 on the season.

IC got the victory parade started when the 400-yard medley relay team of John Masiliunas, Scottie Nicotra, Eli Eberle, and Nathen Trachta posted a 3:48.92.

Konnor Cartee won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 20:25.97 which was followed by Eberle touching the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.43.

Nicotra captured the 400-yard IM in 4:42.12 and Trachta followed with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.92) before Eberle posted his second individual (and third overall) victory of the day in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.22.

Masiliunas closed out the victories for IC by winning the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:12.85.
