JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 61-59, on Saturday afternoon at Sherman Gymnasium.
The defeat sent IC to 5-1 while the Raiders moved to 3-2.

This game was tightly contested from start to finish. The Blueboys led by as much as three in the early going before MSOE went on am 11-2 run to take a six-point lead. IC rallied back to take a two-point lead of its own and then took a 26-24 advantage into halftime.
The Blueboys pushed their lead to 42-32 with 13:33 to go in the game but the Raiders then took back the lead with 5:22 to go. The final five minutes were nip-and-tuck with neither team leading by more than two points. MSOE free throws by Anay Amoah and Joey Jendusa in the game's final 28 seconds provided the margin of victory.
Javonte McKenzie led IC with 20 points while
Seth Doss added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Buzz Ritzel and
Ty Lenhardt each scored 10 points.

IC has won 37 of its last 43 games and 54 of the past 60… the Blueboys are 21-2 in their past 23 non-conference regular season games…. Ritzel now has 946 career points while
