JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College football team ended the regular season in dominating fashion, stopping Beloit, 96-14 in a Midwest Conference contest on Saturday at England Stadium.
The Blueboys finished the regular season 8-2 overall and 7-2 in the Midwest Conference. The Buccaneers finished 1-9 overall and 1-8 in league play.

The outcome of this game was decided quickly as IC rolled to a 35-0 lead after one quarter.
Running back
Tanner Spencer scored three rushing touchdowns in the quarter, crashing in from 5, 10, and 7 yards out.
Collin Brunstein caught two touchdown passes from
Destin Chance, the first from 22 yards out and the second from 29.
The second quarter was much of the same as IC tacked on another 34 points.
Chance dashed in from five yards out to open the frame and then Brunstein hauled in a 25-yard strike from Chance to become the all-time NCAA career leader in touchdown receptions with his 76th.
Trey Birdsong caught a 2-yard scoring pass from Chance after Brunstein's heroics. Beloit scored and then Brunstein returned the ensuing kickoff 85-yards for a touchdown. After another Buccaneers score,
Kyle Leonard closed out the scoring for the half on an acrobatic 33-yard strike from Chance on the quarter's final play.
IC led 69-14 at halftime.
The Blueboys put three scores on the board in the third quarter. Spencer crashed in from the 4, and Brunstein and Chance hooked up for one last score in their magnificent careers, this one from 45 yards away. Senior
Baylor Borden hauled in a 44-yard pass from Chance to close out the third quarter scoring.
The only points in the final quarter came on a 1-yard scamper by backup quarterback
Tyson Elliott.
Chance finished the day 37-for-49 for 620 yards and seven touchdowns. Brunstein corralled 14 passes for a single-game school record 335 yards and four scores. Spencer gained 102 yards on 14 tries.
The defense was led by
Drake Stuart who collected 10 tackles on the day.
Tommy Kaesberg and
Blaze Helton each had two tackles for loss and Kaesberg had the only sack on the day.

The Blueboys have now won 16 of their past 18 regular-season games, and IC has also won 21 of its last 25 games overall… Brunstein is now the NCAA Division III all-time touchdown receptions leader with 77… Brunstein broke his own school record of 313 yards (set last season against the University of Chicago… Chance now has 116 career TD passes and is the school's all-time leader… Brunstein, the first player in IC history to have 4,000 career receiving yards, now has 5,047 yards and 77 TD receptions (both school records)... he is the only player in IC history to catch over 70 touchdown passes and have over 5,000 yards… Collin now has 220 career catches which is second in school history.
