Men’s Swimming Remains Unbeaten with Win over Coe

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's swimming team remained unbeaten on the season by winning its home opener over Coe, 116-74, on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium.

The Blueboys are now 3-0 on the young season.

IC's Cade Emerick was an individual double winner, touching the wall first in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:26.77) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:31.7).

Scottie Nicotra won the 200 IM, clocking a time of 2:10.83. John Masiliunas took home a victory in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 59.54.

The Blueboys had two relay teams win events. Masiliunas and Nicotra joined with Eli Eberle and Nathen Trachta to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:43.58. That foursome then combined to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:33.40

The Blueboys will compete again on November 2nd when they travel to Monmouth for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet.
