BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –
Cooper Meyer posted two victories and
Eli Eberle added another to highlight the Illinois College men's swim team's performance at the Illinois Wesleyan Tri-Meet on Friday.
In the dual competition, IC defeated Millikin, 86-77, and fell to Illinois Wesleyan, 138-49.
Meyer led the Blueboys by winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. He posted a score of 149.01 in 1-meter and 169.75 in 3-meter. Eberle touched the wall first in the 100-meter butterfly, clocking a time of 54.35.
IC got second place finishes from
James Hammond in the 1,650-meter freestyle (19:42.10) as well as the 200-meter medley relay team of
John Masiliunas, Meyer, Eberle, and
Nathen Trachta who finished in 1:45.02. That foursome also teamed up to finish second in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.18.
The Blueboys return to the pool on Saturday, January 27th when they travel to Monmouth.
