BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College women's tennis team traveled to Southwestern Illinois College Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Blues dominated the Blue Storm by the final score of 5-0 in a mini match.
IC got off to a quick 3-0 start with three single victories.
Lily Ingram defeated her opponent by the final score of 6-2 and 6-0.
Megan Oliver and
Emma Artelt each dropped the first set in their single match but came back to defeat their opponents in the tie-breaker sets 11-9 and 10-7 respectively.
IC was only able to play in one doubles match as
Madison Eastin and
Chloe Plough won the match by the final score of 8-5. IC earned the final victory of the match on a win-by-default situation as SWIC only had three student-athletes competing in the match.
The Lady Blues will host Saint Ambrose University on Wednesday, September 27 at 4:15 PM in Bellatti Tennis Complex.
