JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College women's tennis team hosted two Midwest Conference competitors on Saturday. The team fell to the Cornell College Rams with a final of 3-6 and suffered a loss to Grinnell College 0-9.
In the first match of the day against Cornell, IC earned single match victories from #4
Madison Eastin, #5
Sabrina Ingram, and #6
Chloe Plough.
Madison Eastin and
Sabrina Ingram both dropped the first set of their single matches but won back-to-back sets to get the victories.
Chloe Plough defeated Ashley Drake in straight sets for another IC victory on the day.
In the match against Grinnell, Eastin won the first set in the #4 singles match but fell just short in the tie-breaker set by the score of 5-10.
The Lady Blues will travel to Principia College on Tuesday, September 19 at 5:00 PM.
