JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College Lady Blues soccer team opened their 2023 season with a 0-4 loss to Rhodes College Saturday afternoon in England Stadium.
In the early stages,
Cassidy Tacker was busy as the Lynx put four shots on goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. Tacker was able to save three shots on goals until Sophia Rall broke the 0-0 tie at the 9:00 minute marker with a goal. Tacker ended the first half with six saves as IC trailed 3-0 at the intermission.
In the second half, first-year goalkeeper
Sophia Kriegesmann made her Lady Blue debut as she picked up four saves and allowed one goal.
IC was able to get five shots off in this matchup as
Olivia Ralston lead IC with two shots on goal.
The Lady Blues will host Nebraska Wesleyan this Sunday at 10:00AM.
