BELOIT, Wis.- The Illinois College baseball team traveled to face Beloit College this weekend. The team suffered two losses to the Buccaneers, dropping to 15-24 overall and 11-12 in the MWC.
GAME 1- Illinois College 1, Beloit College 16
The Blueboys were led by
Peyton Phillis going two for four at the plate. A single by
Nolan Decker brought in the team's only run by
Ryne Mapes.
Griffin King got the start at the mound for IC pitching suffering the loss pitching 1.1 innings.
GAME 2- Illinois College 4, Beloit College 7
IC was led by
Jaydon Davis going three for five at the plate with two runs scored and two RBI.
Jon Tate also had an impressive performance going three for five with two RBI.
Branson Shaw suffered the loss at the mound pitching 4.1 innings with two strikeouts.
The team will wrap up the 2023 regular season facing Beloit College on Sunday, 5/7 at 12:00 PM.
