JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues hosted Lawrence University for Senior Day on Saturday. The team defeated the Vikings with a final score of 69-36 to advance to 11-14 overall and 8-8 in the MWC.
The team took the time at the beginning of the game to honor their seniors
Suzie Green,
Micah Huwe,
Lakeida Nichols, and
Lilly Pepper for their accomplishments and dedication to the Lady Blues basketball program.
Nichols had an exceptional day finishing the game with a double-double recording 15 points and 12 rebounds. Other double-figure scorers included
Ashlyn Wightman with 14 points and
Anna McKee with 11 points.
The Lady Blues will look ahead to compete in the MWC Tournament in Ripon, Wisconsin hosted by Ripon College on Friday, 2/24, and Saturday, 2/25. IC will face Ripon College in the second semifinal game on Friday at 7:00 PM.
