JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's swimming team split its two duals at the IC Winter Double Dual on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium.
The Blueboys defeated Beloit College, 98-85, and fell to Millikin University, 133-92.
IC got individual wins from
Tristan Pottebaum who won the 100 yard freestyle in 56.10.
James Hammond was victorious in the 500 yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:44.07.
The Blueboys also had a pair of relay teams take first place in the meet. The 200 yard medley relay squad of Hammond,
Cooper Meyer,
Eli Eberle and Pottebaum recorded a time of 1:48.72 to win the event. That same foursome combined to win the 200 yard freestyle as well in 1:37.68.
Prior to the meet, IC celebrated Senior Day by honoring the squad's lone senior,
Brice Montout.
IC will break for the holidays and return to action on January 19th when it travels to Bloomington, Ill. for the Illinois Wesleyan University Tri Meet.
