Monmouth Slips by IC in Men’s Swimming

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Nathen Trachta posted a pair of individual victories, but Monmouth was able to post a 117-69 victory over Illinois College in a dual on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium.

Trachta won both the 200 freestyle (1:54.61) and the 200 butterfly (2:11.88) to pace the IC effort. The Blueboys also got an individual win from Xaiver Applegate who took first in the 400 IM in a time of 5:16.05.

IC will swim against the Fighting Scots again next Saturday when it travels to Monmouth for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
