LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Illinois College continued Midwest Conference play with a visit to Lake Forest College Saturday afternoon. The Lady Blues dropped this MWC match by the final score of 0-9.
IC faced very tough competition in both singles and doubles matches. The doubles team of
Hannah Lueke and
Sabrina Ingram was able to earn two sets in the #2 double match but fell by the score of 2-8. The #3 doubles team of
Madison Eastin and
Chloe Plough also won two sets in the double match but fell by the score of 2-8.
In the #5 single match,
Sabrina Ingram was able to win three sets but ultimately lost the match by the score of 3-6. In the #6 single match, Plough battled back-and-forth and won four sets but fell just short by the score of 4-8.
The Lady Blues will travel to the MWC Women's Tennis Tournament on Saturday, October 14 at 1:00 PM to compete individually in Madison, Wisconsin.
