STORM LAKE, Iowa- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face the Buena Vista University Beavers on Saturday. The team suffered a loss to the Beavers with a final of 1-2. This drops the team to 0-4-1 overall this season.
Haley Sommer was able to put the Lady Blues ahead with a goal in the 9th minute. The Beavers answered with a goal of their own to tie the game in the 20th minute. Buena Vista would add another goal before halftime to make the score 1-2.
Both teams would be held scoreless in the second half giving Buena Vista the victory in the match.
Cassidy Tacker represented IC in goal with three saves on the day.
The team will return to action on Sunday, 9/18 at 2:00 PM against Central College.
