RIPON, Wis- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face the Ripon College Red Hawks in the first round of the MWC Tournament. The Lady Blues fell short in a competitive contest with a final of 65-68.
IC was led offensively by
Lilly Pepper with 22 points on the night.
Kendra Bass and
Junie Zirkelbach both reached double figures in scoring as well with 12 points each. Zirkelbach and
Madison Schoenfeld led the team on the boards with six rebounds each.
The Lady Blues came back from being down eight points in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to one point on a made layup by Pepper with 39 seconds remaining. The Red Hawks were able to score on the other end to seal the win over the Lady Blues in the final seconds.
The team wraps up their 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 10-11.
