RIPON, Wis.- The Illinois College Blueboys traveled to face the top seeded Ripon College in the first round of the MWC Tournament. The Blueboys came up short after a hard fought battle with the Red Hawks with a final score of 51-61.
IC was led by
Hunter Ottensmeier with 11 points in the contest.
Tre Rogers also reached double figures with 10 points.
Jake Mazrimas and
Henry Hayer both led the team on the boards recording six rebounds each.Â
The game remained close with the Blueboys trailing by two points after a made three-pointer by Rogers to bring the score to 51-53 with three minutes remaining. Ripon was able to put together a scoring run at just the right time to jump ahead of the Blueboys and claim the win.Â
This wraps up the Blueboys 2021-22 season with and overall record of 14-11 overall.Â
