JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys took on the Illinois Institute of Technology Scarlet Hawks on Wednesday. The team earned a win over Illinois Tech with a final score of 62-50 to improve their record to 5-1 overall this season.
IC was led by
Tre Rogers recording 18 points in the contest. Other double figure scorers included
Mohammed Fadika and
Jaxson Dian with 13 points each.
Nestor Daboin led the team with 10 boards.
The team faced a physical opponent in the Scarlet Hawks. Neither team could gain the advantage with the score tied 29-29 at the end of the first half. The Blueboys were able to gain the momentum to start the second half with a 24-8 run to stand ahead 55-37 with 9:14 left in the game. IC hung onto the lead to claim their fifth victory of the season.
The Blueboys will return to action hosting Cornell College to begin conference play on Tuesday, 11/29 at 7:30 PM.
