JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's soccer team hosted Ripon College on Saturday in their season finale. The team exploded offensively in the second half to earn a 5-1 victory and improve to 9-8-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the MWC.
The Blueboys were able to strike early in the 2nd minute on a goal by
Tyler Schiltz. The Red Hawks were able to equalize on a penalty goal right before the half. Both teams would head to halftime tied at 1-1.
IC came out of the half on fire with a goal in the 47th minute by Toby Ybarra. Tyler Lunning and Dylan Arens followed with goals in the 60th and 63rd minutes. Carlos Vargas joined the scoring attack in the 85th minute with rocket from the top of the box past the keeper.
This concludes the Blueboys 2022 season.
