Box Score CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys Football team traveled to take on University of Chicago on Saturday. The team suffered a loss in their MWC opener with a final score of 14-66.
Destin Chance led the team through the air going 8 for 19 with 62 yards passing. Chance also led the team in rushing with 62 yards on 18 attempts. Colin Brunstein was the leading receiver for IC recording 35 yards receiving on two catches. The defense was led by
Stuart Wolf with eight tackles and
Jaylin Swan with seven tackles in the contest.
Chicago jumped to an early lead to take control of the momentum. The Blueboys would score their first points in the fourth quarter on a one-yard run by
Keyton Mitchell. The Blueboys would reach the end zone again with 7:15 left in the final quarter on an 11-yard touchdown run by
Andrew Gaul.
The Blueboys will continue MWC play hosting Monmouth College next Saturday, 9/18 at 1:00 PM.
