JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's soccer team opened up the season hosting Webster University on Wednesday night. The Blueboys suffered a loss to the Gorloks with a final of 1-4.
Webster would put up two goals in the first half in the eighth and the 23rd minute to build an early lead. They would hold the Blueboys to just two shots in the first half and stand ahead 2-0 heading into halftime.
IC opened the second half with a goal of their own by
Tyler Schiltz to get them back in the game. Webster was able to answer with two more goals to seal the win over the Blueboys with a final of 1-4.
Chase McNeill and
Owen Macias shared the goalie duties for IC each recording two saves in the contest.
Illinois College will look to bounce back as they host Westminster College on Saturday, 9/4 at 5:00 PM.
