JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- Illinois College Esports started the 2021 season taking on tournament favorite Grand View University.
In game one, the Blueboys opted for a slower paced game looking to scale with the current meta of double moonstone bot lane. Unfortunately, Gand View came prepared punishing the slower pace of the game with aggressive roaming. This put Grand View in commanding control of game one.
Going into game two, Illinois College drafted a more standard composition allowing them to dictate the pace of the game. Grand View countered by use unconventional picks to put them into the lead and eventually take game two. This puts Illinois College at 0-1 to start the season as they look ahead to face the University of Missouri on 2/6 at 6:30 PM.
