BELOIT, Wis.- The Illinois College Blueboys traveled to face Beloit College in their season finale on Saturday. The team earned a win in their last game of the 2021 season with a final of 21-3. This advances the Blueboys to 5-5 overall and 5-4 in the MWC.
The team was led by
Andrew Gaul at quarterback in the game with 100 yards passing.
Triston Aguilar Ladson was the teams leading rusher with 86 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
KJ Corley led the team in receiving with 59 yards in the contest. The defense was led by Trent Durrell totaling nine tackles on the day.
Both teams struggled to get on the board early. IC would score first on a 34-yard rush by Aguilar Ladson to take the lead 7-0 in the second quarter. This would be the score as the game headed to halftime.
Beloit was able to put together a scoring drive coming out of the locker room with a field goal to cut the deficit to 7-3. Illinois College answered back with a touchdown on a four-yard rush by
Devin Tynan. IC would add one more score in the fourth quarter on a three-yard rush by
Matt Schultz to secure the victory.
