JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues soccer team hosted Hannibal-LaGrange University on Wednesday night. The team suffered a loss to the Trojans with a final score of 1-3. This drops the Lady Blues to 2-9 overall on the season.
The Trojans would get on the board first in the second minute to take the early lead. The Lady Blues were able to tie the game in the 15th minute after
Shannon Engmann was able to get to the net after and assist by
Haley Sommer. The Trojans would score once more to hold the lead 2-1 heading into halftime. Hannibal-LaGrange was able to limit the Lady Blues offensively in the second half to come away with the victory.
Savannah Henson represented IC in goal with seven saves in the contest.
The team will continue conference play this weekend as they travel to face Lake Forest College on Saturday, 10/9 at 11:00 AM.
