JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team hung around and created some offensive chances early on in the match on Saturday, but St. Norbert College pulled away in the second half and won by a score of 6-0. IC drops to 5-10-0 (0-6-0 Midwest Conference) on the season.
The Lady Blues were sharp in the opening minutes, creating some chances on the counter-attack and limiting St. Norbert's opportunities. The match took a turn with exactly 10 minutes elapsed when a header from Enya Horgan was ruled a goal.
Charlotte Crofton had made the save, but the ruling was that the ball had crossed the line prior to being stopped. In the 29th minute, the Green Knights doubled their lead on a failed clearance that led to Tristani's first goal of the match.
In the early going of the second half, Illinois College had a chance to cut into the lead when

Down quickly on the other end, the initial shot from Emily Names was saved by Crofton, but Tristani followed up and knocked it home from just outside the goalmouth for a 3-0 advantage.
St. Norbert put the game away with tallies in the 67th, 69th and 81st minutes.
