ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team gave up a first half goal and could never pull back level in a 1-0 loss to Beloit College on Sunday morning. The Lady Blues drop to 3-13-0 (1-5-0 Midwest Conference), while the Buccaneers move to 4-10-0 (1-6-0 MWC).
Playing early on Sunday morning in Rockford due to an unplayable field in Beloit, Illinois College allowed the game-winning goal in the 19th minute. Genesis Dade ended up attempting a match-high six shots in all on Sunday, but her early effort was what gave the Buccaneers a lead that would hold up the rest of the way.
Beloit outshot Illinois College by a 10-3 margin in the first half, and by an 8-2 count in the second half.
Charlotte Crofton tried to keep the Lady Blues in it, making 15 saves on the morning.
Ashley Sholmire had two shots on goal in the match.

The Lady Blues return home to England Stadium for Senior Day on Oct. 21, hosting Lake Forest College at 11 a.m.
