Box Score
DE PERE, Wis. – The Illinois College women's soccer team defended valiantly, but St. Norbert found its way through for three second-half goals to defeat the Lady Blues by a score of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. IC falls to 4-3-0 (1-1-0 Midwest Conference), while St. Norbert improves to 5-1-0 (2-0-0 MWC).

The first half was mostly one-way traffic, with St. Norbert outshooting IC, 8-0. Despite that disadvantage, Samantha Vacek made four first-half saves to keep the match scoreless at halftime.

The Green Knights showed no signs of slowing down in the second half, as they picked up the pace and were right back in the attacking third. Monica Stephens finally beat Vacek with a shot that hit the crossbar and caromed down for the first goal in the 54th minute. Her teammates were quick to follow, as Sadie Jung and Ami Zacker both found the back of the net, putting their team ahead 3-0. The Lady Blues didn't go down quietly, however. Three IC players – Audrey Gangwish, Josie Garfat and LeMarah Stratton -- put one shot on frame, testing the two-goalie system SNC had in play.

The Lady Blues close out their trip to Wisconsin tomorrow with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff against Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis.
