Box Score
FENTON, Mo. – The Illinois College women's soccer team was without a number of key personnel on Wednesday and the result was a lackluster offensive effort in a 4-0 defeat at Webster University. The Gorloks ended with a 40-2 advantage in shots, and 14 Samantha Vacek saves as well as seven Charlotte Crofton saves weren't enough to keep the Lady Blues in it.

Ally Kjellander had an early effort on goal for Illinois College, forcing a save from Aly Miller within the opening five minutes. After that, it was one-way traffic the rest of the half. Webster scored the go-ahead goal right on seven minutes and added to the lead with a score in the 34th minute for a 2-0 halftime edge.

The short-handed Lady Blues managed one shot in the second half courtesy of Carlee Fowler. By that time, Webster had increased its lead to 4-0 on goals in the 56th and 79th minutes.

Illinois College (4-2-0, 1-0-0 Midwest Conference) returns to MWC play this weekend with road matches at St. Norbert and Lawrence. The Lady Blues face St. Norbert in De Pere, Wis. on Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m., followed by Lawrence in Appleton, Wis. on Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
