Ally Kjellander had an early effort on goal for Illinois College, forcing a save from Aly Miller within the opening five minutes. After that, it was one-way traffic the rest of the half. Webster scored the go-ahead goal right on seven minutes and added to the lead with a score in the 34th minute for a 2-0 halftime edge.
The short-handed Lady Blues managed one shot in the second half courtesy of
Carlee Fowler. By that time, Webster had increased its lead to 4-0 on goals in the 56th and 79th minutes.
Illinois College (4-2-0, 1-0-0 Midwest Conference) returns to MWC play this weekend with road matches at St. Norbert and Lawrence. The Lady Blues face St. Norbert in De Pere, Wis. on Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m., followed by Lawrence in Appleton, Wis. on Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
