Box Score
FENTON, Mo. – The Illinois College men's soccer team had only two shots on goal and were shutout for the first time this season in a 1-0 loss to Webster University on Wednesday night in suburban St. Louis. Following a scoreless first half, the Gorloks scored the winning goal in the 54th minute.

The Blueboys had the first chance of the match with just over a minute gone as Brock Chartier had a shot on goal, but Webster's Alex Bergmann was there to make the stop. There was little for Bergmann or Ty Clearwater to do the rest of the half. Roger Mies had a shot but it was wide of the target for IC, and Webster had eight shots that were all off-frame against Clearwater.

The action was much more lively in the second half as Webster launched a shot in the opening minute and Chartier had an effort blocked a minute after that. Clearwater was forced off his line to make a save in the 52nd minute, but Joey Florian broke the deadlock in the 54th minute off of an assist from Dino Music.

Illinois College pushed for the tying goal immediately, but both Mesfin Lenth and Chartier had shots go wide immediately following the Webster goal. Chartier had a shot saved by Bergmann later in the match and the final shot from IC on the night came from Brock Ziegemeier and again was pushed wide.

The Blueboys will hope to change their fortunes with a home match on Sept. 18 against Carroll University. First kick is scheduled for 11 a.m.
