Box Score
RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Goalkeeper Ty Clearwater did everything he could to keep the Illinois College men's soccer team in it, but a rebound goal from Dominican University was the deciding factor in a 1-0 win for the Stars on Sunday afternoon. Clearwater made 15 saves in the match on a total of 29 DU shots.

In the first half, Dominican had 14 shots but Clearwater was on the spot with seven saves. The Stars got on the board in the 40th minute however as Clearwater made the initial stop of a shot by Frankie Saiz only for the ball to rebound to Nicolo Vitale to put away for a 1-0 lead at the break.

The second half was much the same as the first, with Dominican taking 15 shots and putting eight on-frame. Clearwater made eight stop, many of the spectacular variety, to keep the Stars from pulling any further ahead. The Blueboys had two shots in the second half but Alfredo Recendez stopped both for Dominican. Roger Mies had the first for IC in the 54th minute. In the 74th minute, Denpota Furugaki forced a save from Recendez.

Illinois College returns to Midwest Conference action on Oct. 5 with a 1 p.m. match on the road at Knox College.
