RIPON, Wis. – The Illinois College men's soccer team had its 2015 season come to an end on Saturday with a 1-0 loss on the road to the Ripon Red Hawks. The Blueboys had 17 shots in the match – 14 of them on goal – but couldn't stick any past Ripon's Jimmy Amedeo. IC ends its season at 9-7-2 (3-5-2 Midwest Conference).

Illinois College had nine shots to Ripon's three in the first half, but the match went to halftime still scoreless. Ty Clearwater had saves on all three Red Hawk shots in the first 45 minutes for the Blueboys.

The game-winner for Ripon came in the 63rd minute. Paul Karls scored his 10th of the year off of a free kick that was delivered by Logan Wright. IC pressured the rest of the way, but Amedeo made nine saves after halftime to frustrate the Blueboys and give the Red Hawks a win in their final home match of the season.

Clearwater ended the match with nine saves between the posts for Illinois College. Brock Chartier led all players in the match with five shots. Joe Tooley had four and Alex Gardner added three.

The 10 graduating members of the Illinois College senior class leave as the winningest four-year group in the history of the program. Over the four years these seniors have been together, the Blueboys have won 36 matches.
