By: Two goals in just more than two minutes in the first half gave the Lady Blues all they would need in a 2-0 victory.
Box Score GREENVILLE, Ill. – A muddy field made for some tough sledding at times on Saturday, but two first half goals that came just past the half-hour mark did enough for the Illinois College women's soccer team to put away Greenville, 2-0.
Ally Kjellander scored the game-winner in the 32nd minute for the Lady Blues. In the 34th minute,
Ashley Sholmire doubled the lead and essentially put the game away for IC.
Greenville managed nine shots in the contest, but only one was on target.
Corey Hanson was there for the save on that Panther opportunity and picked up her second win of the season in the shutout.
The Lady Blues (3-0-0) will make their home debut on Wednesday against Fontbonne University. First kick at England Stadium is set for 5 p.m. with the men's game to follow.
