CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College women's tennis team grabbed a big win in Carlinville today as they took on the Beavers of Blackburn College for the second time this season. With a final score of 8-1, IC's win brings them to 3-4 for the season.
Illinois College started off strong by winning all three doubles matches. Both teams of Norville and Noggle and Chavez and Pohlman achieved 8-4 wins against Blackburn's doubles teams. That excitement continued into the singles matches with Norville, Noggle, Chavez, and Pohlman all pulling out wins in straight sets.
Illinois College will be back in action on Wednesday as it travels to Millikin University. The match kicks off at 3 p.m. in Decatur.
