Hannah McGinnis scored an Illinois College single-game record 44 points and the Lady Blues set a new single-game team scoring record in a 118-89 win over Knox College on Tuesday in the Lady Blues' home finale.
McGinnis broke the individual single-game scoring record by going 19-of-24 from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line. She also secured 22 rebounds, just two shy of Illinois College's single-game record, which she already owns. The team's 118 points broke the previous record, which was set in a 117-86 win at Knox on January 14.
Holly Wohltman added 26 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win.
Maddy Keith and
Ashley Hoegger chipped in 10 and 12 points, respectively.
Jill Friedrich had six points, six rebounds and eight assists.
Illinois College shot 58.9 percent (43-of-73) from the field, 20 percent (1-of-5) from the 3-point line and 93.9 percent (31-of-33) from the foul line.
The Lady Blues improved to 12-10 overall and 10-7 in Midwest Conference play. They travel to St. Norbert College on Saturday.
