Hannah McGinnis scored 18 points apiece but it wasn't enough as the Illinois College women's basketball team suffered a 72-69 loss to Ripon College on Saturday in Jacksonville.
Burgess led the team with 11 rebounds, while McGinnis pulled down nine.
Maddy Keith added nine points and nine rebounds.
The Lady Blues shot 41.5 percent (22-of-53) from the field, 20 percent (3-of-15) from 3-point range and 78.6 percent (22-of-28) from the free throw line.

Christa Brown were honored before the game as part of Senior Day festivities.
The Lady Blues fell to 11-10 overall and 9-7 in Midwest Conference play. They host Knox College on Wednesday.
