Balanced effort keys Blueboys' 87-80 win at Cornell

Chris Marrs led five Illinois College players scoring in double figures as the Blueboys took an 87-80 win over Cornell College on Tuesday night in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Marrs scored 21 points, while Brandon Berry and Nathan Kohler added 14 each. Marty Johnson scored a career-high 13 points and Justin Smith chipped in 11. Marrs, Berry and Smith pulled down six rebounds each, and Kohler dished out six assists. Marrs had three steals.

The Blueboys improved to 12-8 overall and 8-7 in Midwest Conference play. They host Ripon College on Saturday.
