The St. Norbert College women's basketball team scored a 66-42 win over Illinois College on Saturday in a battle to decide the sole owner of first place in the Midwest Conference.
St. Norbert's Stephanie Weigman and Heidi Van Sistine combined for 35 points off the bench to power the Green Knights.
Hannah McGinnis scored a team-high 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Lady Blues.
Maddy Keith scored eight points, while
Holly Wohltman and
Jill Friedrich added six apiece.
The Lady Blues shot 29.8 percent (14-of-47) from the field and 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the foul line. They were 0-for-5 from 3-point range.
Illinois College fell to 9-5 overall and 7-2 in Midwest Conference play with the loss. The Lady Blues travel to Grinnell College on Wednesday.
